Mr Lionel Giraudeau, Director of France Blonde d’Aquitaine Sélection, presented the European programme “Blonde d’Aquitaine: European Beef Excellence” on 5 February 2026 at the Paris headquarters of the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty (MASA).

The event was organised by the Ministry with the aim of encouraging French companies to submit projects under European Promotion Regulation 1144/2014. In fact, the funds allocated to this Regulation have recently been increased, as confirmed by Canga Fano, Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for Agriculture, who attended the conference.

Director Giraudeau’s presentation, outlining both the successes of the “Blonde d’Aquitaine: European Beef Excellence” project and the difficulties encountered in its implementation due to external contingencies, was of particular interest to the audience of around fifty participants, attending both in person and online.

Thanks to this contribution, it was demonstrated that these European programmes can also be carried out by small organisations, provided they are properly supported by an Implementing Body that is fully familiar with their mechanisms.
