A walk that showed the inseparable and precious connection between landscape heritage, livestock, agriculture, environment and future.<\/p>\n

On the occasion of the third edition of the Balade en paysage d’\u00e9leveurs<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, the Chamber of Agriculture<\/a><\/strong> and the breeders of the commune of Sauveterre de B\u00e9arn, located in the south-west of France, in partnership with CAUE 64<\/a><\/strong> (Conseil d’Architecture d’Urbanisme et de l’Environnement des Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es-Atlantiques<\/em>), organised an event to promote the surrounding landscapes through the breeding areas of the Blonde d’Aquitaine breed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

About 180 people took part in this initiative to discover the special relationship that binds the territory, the breeders and the products of their work. A valuable opportunity to learn more about this profession, which is so important for the environment, for consumers, but also for the animals that make it possible.<\/p>\n

At the end of the walk between the B\u00e9arn and the Basque Country, Agn\u00e8s Ducat, landscape consultant of CAUE 64, helped the participants read the landscape<\/strong> from a hilltop, followed by a tasting of Blonde d\u2019Aquitaine meat<\/strong>, during which breeders, producers, operators and consumers were able to enjoy its unique characteristics.<\/p>\n

The meat of Blonde d\u2019Aquitaine, in fact, comes from cattle that are particularly suitable for a grassland system, easy to manage and breed<\/strong>, perfectly adapting to climatic changes, in particular to a dry climate.<\/p>\n

It is also thanks to these peculiarities that the beef they produce is excellent both for industry professionals<\/strong>, due to the low presence of bones and its intrinsic qualities, and for consumers<\/strong>, who can taste a tender and simply delicious meat.<\/p>\n

In short, the third edition of Balade en paysage d\u2019\u00e9leveurs<\/em> was a great opportunity to get to know a unique world and to find ideas and answers on the relationship between farmers, land and animals, so precious for consumers and for the future of the planet.<\/p>\n
